1. Registration Fee
The Registration Fee is a one-time fee covering the cost of admitting, assessing and registering a child. It
is due within three weeks after the conclusion of the school contract.
2. Joining Fee
The Joining Fee is a one-time fee for new enrollment of the child on the MSF student role as of the first
day of school. This fee is payable within three weeks after the conclusion of the school contract. For
students whose enrollment is contractually limited to a period of less than 6 months, half of this fee is
payable. Students who have been granted Reduced School Tuition are exempted from that fee as long as
they meet the Reduced School Tuition conditions.
3. Early Years Tuition and Snack Fee
The Early Years Tuition covers supervision and teaching services from 8:00 - 17:30 during Early Years
School days according to the MSF Calendar. The MSF Calendar is published on the MSF website
www.m-school.de. The MSF core programme runs from 8:30 - 15:30.
The Early Years Tuition for Frankfurt citizens is set by the City of Frankfurt in December for the next
calendar year. Currently the City of Frankfurt covers the Early Years Tuition for Frankfurt citizens
(Kindergartenentgelt).
The Snack Fee covers a morning and afternoon fruit/vegetable snack.
4. Primary and Secondary School Tuition
The Tuition covers the School Day which currently starts at 8:25 and finishes at 15:30 during school days
according to the MSF School calendar. Opening and finishing times may change according to the
educational and organizational needs of any given school year. Corona or other pandemic related laws
may reduce the allowed programme hours and/or replace on campus instruction by remote learning
and/or online learning.
5. MSF School Fee Reduction Programme
In the context of its school fee reduction programme MSF offers applicants socially acceptable school
fees to make the school accessible to students in Grade 1 to 10 who would be unable to attend the
school due to family income.
Natural persons, who are self-payers for all of their school tuition and fees, may file an application for
reduction of the school fees, the Registration Fee and the Joining Fee if the family‘s means are such that
the school fees cannot be paid in full. The family‘s means are its assets and its income.

**) The School endeavours to offer 25% of its places on a reduced school tuition basis
In the context of the MSF School Fee Reduction Programme the school takes into account the family’s
gross family income (“Summe der positive Einkünfte”) as well as the family’s assets. The relevant annual
gross family income is defined as all positive income obtained by all family members (including family
members living not in the child’s household) and of persons belonging to the same household. If the
annual gross positive family income is below 85,000 an application for reduced tuition can be filed.
Applicants must submit a registration certificate which proves that their main residence is in Germany.
In case of any full or partial tuition cover or reimbursement of school fees by an employer or company or
other organization to the family - or directly to MSF - the normal tuition and fees will apply.
Tuition reductions are granted for one year and reviewed annually. In order to qualify for the fee reduction
programme for the following Academic Year, parents must submit all documents listed below by 30
th
April. These documents must be submitted again in updated form for every school year’s fee reduction
application, also for a recurring application.
1. A copy of the final Income Tax Report(s) of both parents of the year before the last year
(endgültige Einkommensteuerbescheide (EStB) des vorletzten Jahres, keine vorläufigen EStB).
A foreign equivalent certificate may be accepted if it is presented with an official translation into
English or German.
2. For the last calendar year a written confirmation of both parents’/guardians’ tax consultants or of
the local tax assistance association (Lohnsteuerhilfeverein) confirming that - based on all
available preliminary information - the total taxable family income for the last calendar year
(Summe der positiven Einkünfte des letzten Kalenderjahres) is expected to not exceed the total
income threshold the family is applying for.

3. The last 3 recent payslips (Gehaltsabrechnungen) of all family members and household
members earning an income, showing their current monthly income. In case that is not available,
a confirmation by the family’s tax consultant about their income during the current year so far and
an estimate for the family income during the rest of the calendar year.
4. A copy of the employment contract or a signed letter of the employer(s) to verify that there are no
other employment benefits such as tuition support or housing cost support, etc.
5. A list of assets owned by all family members (Vermögensaufstellung) showing less than
100,000 € in total family assets (including but not limited to both guardians/parents sum of
assets).
In case any of these documents are incomplete or not plausible or presented after the due
date 30
th
April, the regular, higher tuition rates for the school year starting in August will apply.
Please note that in order to ensure the fairness of this process to all members of our school
community, any attempt to withhold or falsify relevant records or information will automatically lead to
a rejection of the application for reduced tuition or a termination of the reduction of tuition and fees.
There will be no deadline extension beyond the 30
th
April date. Any documents presented after the
deadline cannot be honored.
6. MSF Scholarships
Grade 1 to 10 families who do not qualify for a reduced school tuition may confidentially apply for an
“MSF Scholarship” in May that reduces the normally payable monthly tuition significantly for the next
Academic Year. Scholarships are granted for 1 child per family only.
Grade 11 and 12 families may confidentially apply for an “MSF IB Diploma Years Scholarship in May
that reduces the normally payable monthly tuition significantly for the next Academic Year.
A detailed scholarship letter for MSF Scholarships will be sent to all parents in the month of May. The
MSF Board Scholarship Committee will decide on scholarship allocations by mid-June.

8. Other Costs
External Examination Fees: The cost of correcting the IGCSE and IB Diploma examinations by
external examiners will be charged by Cambridge International and by the IBO to MSF and then
charged to the individual parents separately by invoice after the exams have been taken.
