MSF parent initiative Safely Digital will host a Coffee Morning - the first roundtable for MSF parents concerned about digital safety and sanity for their children. Sharing views, discussing strategies, and building alliances is the purpose of the meeting. Come join on April 29 at 8:30 in the MSF cafeteria!
Besides the invite to the meeting, the MSF Safely Digital alliance also informed us about an upcoming event (German only however) hosted by a parent association named „Smarter Start ab 14“ - an alliance for parents from all over Germany who are committed to delaying ownership of smart devices for their children to the age of 14. Their motto: First smart, then phone 😊 On Thursday, April 25, a best selling author and digital expert will provide practical advice for parents on how to walk the line as chaperones for kids in the digital age. Look them up if you are interested! 🤗
MSF Junior Foxes were invited to a boys soccer tournament at European School in Frankfurt. There were 6 teams in total from all over the Rhein-Main region with MSF coming in second place!
The boys played extremely well, supported each other, lifted each other up and displayed some excellent skills on the field! Well done Foxes! 🦊👏🤩
Our Grade 7 students celebrated Earth Day by going off of the school grounds to pick up litter. The theme for Earth Day 2024 is Planet vs. Plastics so after learning about how plastics are used and misused, we went off to do a little bit to clean the environment. We were surprised at some of the items that were found but were not so surprised at how often plastic is found along roadsides and in the woods 😶🌫️
Almost 50 students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 competed in the annual Maths Kangaroo competition. They tested their knowledge of logic, skill and reasoning to showcase their thinking skills! 😁
"Whatever a drug did for me in the beginning, it was doing completely opposite in the end". "A step towards drugs is the feeling of never being good enough. But this feeling can also manifest itself in obsessive cleaning or an imposter syndrome. The source is the same". "The need to fit in and the inability to resist peer pressure is another step". Thank you so much for these and other insights - and a very impressive session to Philip and Karen from the UK Drug&Alcohol Education Service! 🙏👏
During the busy time of our Primary Years Exhibition preparation, our school counselor Ms Steppacher comes into the classroom to offer mindfulness to the Grade 5 students to help them unwind! 🤗
