
School Director
Founder and shareholder of Metropolitan School Frankfurt, Peter Ferres developed the school’s pedagogical concept and has led MSF as its director since the school’s founding in 2007. Mr Ferres completed his PGCE certificate (Qualified Teacher in England and Wales) at the Institute of Education, University of London and has taught in inner-London primary schools. His background in education is complemented by his first career in international banking, having studied business and economics at universities in Cologne (Univ. Köln), Los Angeles (USC) and Paris (HEC) and devoted more than 20 years to management in international banks in Frankfurt and London. Mr Ferres’ passion for teaching and helping children to develop their full potential has been realised in the expansion of the MSF campus and student body, as well as in the success of the MSF graduates.

Assistant Director
Tara Francis holds a Bachelor of Social Science with a double major in Psychology and Environmental and Geographical Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. With over 15 years of teaching and leadership experience across Africa and Europe, Mrs Francis has served as a mathematics specialist, teacher and administrator for students in Grades 1 through 8. Mrs Francis has been a visiting team member for the Council of International Schools (CIS), an organisation that accredits international schools throughout the world, and will serve as a future team chair. Mrs Francis’ three children attend MSF.
Secondary School Principal
Kyle Coppes joined Metropolitan School Frankfurt as the Secondary Principal in 2020. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Southern California (focusing on organisational change and leadership). Dr Coppes earned his master’s degree in educational leadership from George Washington University and holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies education with a focus on American and European history. He has worked as a teacher, department coordinator, IB coordinator, assistant principal, and principal at schools in Africa, Asia, and Europe for the past fifteen years. Mr. Coppes is the parent of two children at MSF.
Early Years Leader
Nadine Henkel has been the Early Years Leader at MSF since 2011, having joined MSF in 2007, the founding year of the school, as a teacher for German as an Additional Language. In addition to her administrative responsibilities in Early Years, Ms Henkel serves as the Child Protection Advisor for the school, working closely with the Frankfurt authorities. Prior to coming to MSF, Mrs Henkel was employed by the city of Frankfurt as a kindergarten teacher and taught English as an Additional Language at the Adult Education Centre in Coburg. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Social Management from the University of Coburg and devoted a year after her formal education to a Children’s and Youth camp for schools. Mrs Henkel is the parent of two children at MSF.
Primary School Principal
Nick Wragg has served as the MSF Primary Principal since 2020. A primary school educator for over 20 years, Mr Wragg has held many roles in both national and international schools in the UK, Singapore and Switzerland: homeroom teacher, primary principal, deputy head and school director. Mr Wragg earned an MBA in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Leicester, has trained as an IB School Visitor and Workshop Leader and is a qualified IRB rugby coach. He believes passionately in the constructivist approach to education, encouraging learning through mistakes, inquiry and creativity. Mr. Wragg’s three children attend MSF and his wife teaches in the Early Years division.
Admissions Manager
Christiane Kroll -Radtke joined MSF in 2017. She guides families through the application process in her role as admissions manager. Prior to joining MSF, Mrs Kroll lived in Italy, Spain and London, where she gained experience in conference organising and marketing.
