An example of a Day in Kindergarten
The day starts with a play on the MSF playground! Children have access to a climbing frame, sports equipment, a large sandpit with a water pump, a trampoline and a football pitch and enjoy the daily opportunity to play and chat with friends across our Early Years division.
Before we start into a busy day and after the morning play, children wash hands and have their morning snack. Parents provide a packed morning snack and a refillable water bottle and MSF provides fruit and vegetables according to our monthly snack calendar.
Children usually start their day with a morning circle and then they dive into a mix of teacher-guided, student-led or free play activities.
During the morning and afternoon inquiry blocks, throughout the week children are participating in scheduled music, library and sports activities.
After a busy morning everyone is ready for lunch break with a hot lunch in our Early Years lunch room. When finished, the children enjoy playing on the playground with their friends.
In the afternoon the youngest children may choose to take a nap in our nap-room or have resting time, while the older children in the group continue with inquiry-focused games and activities.
Later in the afternoon, children have an afternoon playtime followed by an afternoon snack. Children may be picked up by their parents from 15:00 onwards or they may stay on for After School Care.
The remaining children play in allocated rooms or outside on the playground until latest 17:30, when MSF closes its doors until the next fun-filled day.
