School Clubs

School Clubs

Metropolitan School of Frankfurt offers two kinds of clubs, “in-school clubs” and “after-school clubs.”

In-School Clubs

In-school clubs are student-driven. The student leaders, under the supervision and guidance of a staff mentor, take primary responsibility for the club. This includes scheduling and holding meetings, organising events, and designing the content and activities. Students gain valuable leadership experience and take ownership of their projects and initiatives.

These clubs typically meet during breaks throughout the day and can be flexible. This allows students to take a risk and explore a creative outlet that might not be otherwise available at the school.

After School Clubs

After-school clubs are more formal. Typically, after-school clubs meet for an hour or longer after school and are run by teachers and staff. These clubs require a serious commitment to the club and can offer a very in-depth, hands-on, and meaningful experience for the participants. Some after school clubs may require a fee to enter.
